“This is Crazy.”
This thought crosses my mind almost every day, at least once a day, and has for the past few weeks.
The Covid-19 pandemic has affected every corner of the globe, and we are all starring in a blockbuster film, which is full of drama and angst.
Prior to this shut down I had just stepped out on my own to start a business. I had a plan. I was well on my way to executing that plan. And literally, bam! Everything was curtailed.
Contracts I was vying for were cancelled or postponed. A license I applied for was put on hold. As a result of all of this, my business plan ideas all had to be re-focused.
Making Sense of the Nonsensical
Trying to manage my emotions, like everyone else, is taking some discipline. Staying focused and still executing elements of my business is a daily practice. I am pivoting my ideas and expectations.
I feel good about what I have accomplished so far. My website is complete and soft launched. I am working on an online training solution and my product overall. I am pushing for a full launch mid-June.
Meditation, exercise and conversations with my accountability partner (you might want to get one) keep me focused. Zoom meetings, phone calls and meet-ups with my family and friends are constant. Thankfully, they are healthy and doing well.
I am feeling thankful and blessed. The neighborhood I’ve lived in all of my life, I’ve seen the people become more connected to one another.
I can say that I am appreciative of this experience. When else will the playing field be this leveled?
Pushing Through
While this is not a professional post. I wanted to share that this new reality we are all experiencing will have long lasting effects on how we choose to move forward. We can all push through this experience one day, one hour, or one moment at a time. All by focusing on what is important right now.
Not every day is going to be perfect however, you do have a choice on how to fill those moments.
